The Human Trafficking Regional Navigator for Baltimore City
A Human Trafficking Regional Navigator is responsible for coordinating services and resources for survivors of human trafficking within a specific region. They work closely with local organizations, law enforcement, and service providers to ensure survivors receive support, such as housing, legal aid, and mental health services, while also helping raise awareness about human trafficking and supporting prevention efforts in their community. (All suspected child sex trafficking cases, up to 24 years old)

The Mercy Family Violence Response Program (MercyFVRP) provides confidential services to patients and employees who are victims of violence, abuse and neglect, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and vulnerable adult abuse. The MercyFVRP offers counseling, crisis intervention, safety planning, danger assessment, counseling/legal resource linkage, advocacy, documentation, and free short-term individual follow-up counseling regarding domestic violence. The program educates Mercy employees and consults with physicians and staff to assist victims of abuse.

MVLS provides free legal help with a wide-range of civil legal issues, including things like criminal record relief and expungement, debt and bankruptcy, family law matters like custody and divorce, tax issues, name and gender marker changes, and landlord and tenant disputes. The Human Trafficking Prevention Project, which is a partnership between Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service and University of Baltimore School of Law, primarily serves clients across the gender spectrum who has experienced either sex or labor trafficking; and/or, traded sex for any reason. As a program that focuses on preventing trafficking, we also provide services to individuals who have been subjected to a combination of violence, trauma, or other systemic inequities that put them at increased risk of exploitation, including interpersonal violence, sexual assault, housing instability, substance use, or discrimination based on race, sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
